Over Spiritualizing

Over Spiritualizing is not just being very spiritual, but is a misapplication of spiritual thinking. It is avoiding reality to attribute to spiritual or divine action something that is more meaningfully attributed to something more mundane, like chance or human actions.

It is the opposite of Scientism. Although it may foster an unrealistic life, the bigger concern is the effect it has on displaced faith.

Perhaps over-spiritualized people don't believe in what they think they do.
